It's time to plant winter garlic!

Growing winter garlic with Healthy Land biological products is a great way to get a healthy and rich harvest without any environmental harm.

From October to mid-November is a perfect time for planting winter garlic, because it needs 2-3 weeks to be rooted before frost. It should be planted 3-5 cm deep, 1-2 bulbs each. The distance between the rows should be 15-20 cm.

Garlic is a plant with medium climatic needs, but with high moisture requirements. High yields can be obtained only on fertile soils with a high humus content that retain moisture as well.

Soil for planting garlic should be fertile and crumbly. In the fall, two to three weeks before planting, the soil should be digged to a depth of 20-25 cm and fertilized with organic matter such as compost or humus. To prepare fast and high-quality compost, we recommend using Soil Improver Ecostern®, which will also increase the humus content of the soil if applied after harvest. Choosing a sort

Garlic sorts that are highly resistant to diseases and pests are best for organic growing. These varieties include:

- CZOSNEK ZIMOWY HARNAŚ

- LJUBASHA

In addition, the National Register of Sorts includes Polish varieties of garlic which do not form flowerheads and are suitable for growing from spring planting:

- CYRYL

- JARUS

- JANKIEL

For soaking garlic before planting, our agronomists recommend the biological product Fitobact®, which strengthens plant immunity, increases yields, improves taste, and stimulates plant growth and development.

To increase the effect, add Liposam® bioadhesive.

It will provide close contact of the biopreparation with the surface of the garlic bulbs and prolong effect of the biopreparation.

For 5 liters of water, 15 ml of the biological product Fitobact + 8 ml of Liposam bioadhesive. Soak for 1.5-2 hours before planting.

Useful tips:

- Garlic can be grown in one place no longer than three years.

- You can use mulch to get a bigger harvest of garlic. Mulch helps to retain moisture in the soil.

- Garlic can be grown in containers. This method of growing is suitable for small gardens and balconies.

- Water the garlic regularly, especially in dry weather.
